7 components that should be in a night cream 5 5 3

First, we'll figure out why you need a night cream and why day care can not replace it. It
is very important to understand that no matter how old you are, night
care is an anti-aging therapy that helps the cells to recover. While we sleep, the skin continues to work, and the right cream can stimulate its regeneration. In
addition, during sleep, mimic muscles are practically not contracted,
which means that night is the most suitable time to stop the appearance
of wrinkles.
What is the main difference between day and night means? Any quality day cream must contain SPF filters
that protect against the action of the ultraviolet spectrum of light,
antioxidants that protect the skin from negative environmental
influences, and also have the texture (to serve simultaneously as a
makeup base). However,
such care, as a rule, does not contain, serious moisturizers and
powerful active anti-aging ingredients, so as not to cause a
hypersensitivity reaction in contact with external factors. But we appreciate the night cream for these properties and for very different ingredients.
1. Retinoids (retinoic acid, tretinoin, retinol or retinaldehyde)
Retinol is one of the derivatives of vitamin A, which can often be found in the cream. Vitamin A has other derivatives - for example, American brands often use tretinoin or isotretinoin. This
component accelerates the regeneration of skin cells - in other words,
stimulates its renewal, eliminates hyperpigmentation, protects against
photoaging, blocks enzymes that destroy collagen.
Why is the presence of retinol so important for night care? The fact is that under the influence of sunlight its effect can be suppressed, and the use of retinol becomes less effective. It is for this reason that vitamin A is best applied to the skin before going to sleep.
2. Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide, vitamin B3)
The main task of vitamin B3 is to restore the barrier functions of the skin. Like
vitamin A, this component promotes cell renewal, improves tone and
elasticity, and has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect (by the way,
inflammation can also lead to a decrease in collagen synthesis). Niacinamine is an antioxidant that fights free radicals, one of the reasons for premature aging. It helps to soften the skin, neutralize redness, is effective in fighting acne and other eruptions.

3. Peptides ( Argireline , acetyl hexapeptide -3, Matryxil and Copper Peptides )
The
composition of the night cream must include peptides - it is
essentially the same amino acids, connected in small chemical chains. Amino acids are the main constituents of proteins, the building material for cells.
What
kind of peptides are used in the cream depends on each specific
manufacturer, but they unite them one - they are able to penetrate
through the dead skin cells and stimulate the synthesis of collagen, the
so-called "skin youth protein". In simple terms, peptides are able to control the processes occurring at the cellular level. Including the aging process - slowing it, of course.
4. Hyaluronic acid ( HYALURONIC ACID )
Some creams in their composition contain not hyaluronic acid, but collagen. In
cosmetology, there are huge doubts about the fact that collagen in the
structure of the cream itself is able to have an anti-aging effect on
the skin. It
is poorly assimilated by cells, and there is only the possibility of
being included in serums or injections - and even specialists can not
come to a common opinion about the justification of its use.
Another
thing - hyaluronic acid, which stimulates the production of collagen
and is really able to slow the aging process, maintain elasticity.

By
the way, the skin, subjected to excessive exposure to ultraviolet
light, produces less hyaluronic acid and needs to fill its deficiency. In addition, this cream component is an excellent moisturizer. "Hyaluronka"
works also in day cream, but at night it is absorbed most actively -
precisely for the reason that at night the cells recover more
intensively and are susceptible to external influences.
5. Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid, vitamin C)
Vitamin
C is a powerful antioxidant, one of the most important components
stimulating biochemical reactions in the fight against oxidants and
"culprits of aging". It is best used for night care, as this is one of the ingredients that can cause a hypersensitivity reaction. To over-saturate the skin with "usefulness" is also not necessary - in the daytime we use antioxidants and SPF filters, do not add to this "cocktail" also a very active vitamin C.
There
is one more important point - vitamin C evaporates quite quickly with
time, which is especially characteristic for creams in packs in the form
of jars. Therefore,
if you chose night care with vitamin C, it is better to buy a cream
with a dispenser - then a useful component will always be "in the
service."
6. Oils
Night
creams are always more greasy and dense in texture than daytime creams,
since their main function is to moisturize and promote rejuvenation. And if the day cream most often serves as a make-up base, until the night cream is used by itself - without additional products. Such care must necessarily contain oils - be it argan oil, olives or any fruit.
The main task of all the oils that make up the cosmetic compositions is to give the skin the necessary nutrition. Oils
often contain tocopherol (natural regenerator cells), polyphenols
(phytochemical components to give the skin a healthy tone and texture)
and, of course, fatty acids (stearic, oleic, palmitic, linoleic) that
provide elasticity, actively nourish cells, protect the skin from
harmful external influences.
7. Fruit acids, alpha hydroxy acids ( AHAs )
Lemon,
apple, glycolic, lactic, pyruvic and tartare are acids that promote the
natural self-renewal of cells, restore water balance, reduce
hyperpigmentation. The mechanism of their action is still not fully understood. One
hypothesis suggests that ANA reduces the concentration of calcium ions
in the epidermis, which promotes cell growth, thereby making the skin
younger.
Glycolic acids ( Glycolic acid )
- the most common and very often used in the creation of peelings and
scrubs, but they are no less valuable in the composition of night cream. Glycolic
acid activates the regenerative functions of our cells and, in
addition, has the smallest molecular weight of all the fruit acids -
that is, its particles are so tiny that they can penetrate the horny
layer of the skin, affecting the deep level. In the night and anti-aging care - this is one of the most valuable ingredients.
