These days I am kind of obsessed with highlighters and was on a look out for a good highlighter that would instantly add a luscious glow to my face. Anyway, this ‘Strobelight Instant Glow Powder’ is a new launch from the brand Milani and doing the rounds on the internet, with bloggers and vloggers reviewing it. Let’s see what an IMBBian has to say about this product. So, let’s get started with the review.

My Experience with Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder 01 Afterglow:

Well, this is my first product from Milani. Ever since I started reading reviews on IMBB I’ve got familiar with brand names which I haven’t even tried anytime. My knowledge about makeup just keeps getting better here every day. Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder claims to provide glow in an instant, making the skin look radiant.

When I checked its official website, I was surprised to see that it’s available in seven different shade; whereas only two to three shades have reached India yet. I chose the lightest shade from the three shades available in India. The shade that I chose is called Afterglow. I have a fair skin tone and this is a pretty champagne shade. It is best suited for people with fair skin tone. And people who have wheatish skin tone may opt for the shade Sunglow since it has golden undertones.

All these seven shades from this range look amazing but not all shades are suitable for every skin tone. So it is important to make a smart choice of colour/shade depending on your skin tone. I am looking forward to trying a couple of more shades from this range and would mix and match to see how they look on my skin tone. If you are happy with the product you may try playing with the shades too. The texture of this highlighter is so smooth and isn’t powdery or chunky at all.

I personally don’t like highlighters that are powdery. The highlighters that are powdery in texture may not blend easily. Smooth textured formulas, like this one, are easy to blend and add a polished look to the face instantly. The best thing about this highlighter is that it is buildable. And the amount of shine or glow it delivers looks very subtle in first swipe if tried with a light hand.

However, if you believe in no such thing as too much highlight then you can go on and build it as per your taste and preference. I like using my zoeva 105 highlight brush for applying this highlighter as the tapered shade helps in blending the product easily. It has a picture labelled at the back of the case, which directs you to the different areas where the highlighter needs to be applied. In case you haven’t used a highlighter earlier this may be of great help.

The glitter in it is very fine and subtle, hence doesn’t look chalky at all. It stays for a very long time or until you wash your face with water or remove makeup yourself. It fades a little after few hours but doesn’t fade completely. It still retains the glow on the face even after it fades a little. When I first tried to apply it on my cheekbones it looked super gorgeous and added a natural finish and glow to the skin.

I usually apply this if I am attending night parties and weddings. I love the way it makes my skin glow so I like to apply it for day events too with a very light hand as it is pigmented. You just need to apply it once or twice to see the results and a very little amount of product goes a long way. I pretty much like the packaging as it comes in a sturdy golden metallic case with transparent plastic lid.

The packaging is very easy to lock and unlock and the lid fits in tightly after use. The powder is tightly packed in the case and I like how there is a wavy pattern on the powder. When I received the product it came with a tamper-proof seal and I personally like products that are sealed.
