Hi girls,
Recently, I reviewed a few shades from this new Primer + Matte range from Lakme (Maroon Mix, Scarlet Surge, and so on). Well, this has the “matte” tag to it, so I had to jump in joy. In all I have picked up five shades from this range as many of the shades are repeats from the previous 9 to 5 range. Nevertheless I am very happy with all the colors I have picked up. Today’s shade is a lovely coral with a dash of crimson to it. You can check out swatches of all the Lakme Primer + Matte lipsticks HERE.

Price:
INR 480 for 3.6 gm.

My Experience with Lakme Primer + Matte Lipstick Crimson Cue:
This lipstick comes in a beautiful metallic rose gold sort of a packaging. It click locks and I find the overall appeal very appealing. The font is also very classy and the look is much more than what you are paying for this lipstick. Well done Lakme!

“Crimson Cue” is pure matte, it is thick and creamy, but kind of sets to a matte finish when you apply. The pigmentation is amazing, I would say it is very easy to go cakey with this lipstick, so beware. If you think you find lipstick settling into lip lines, this lipstick will do this blunder for you in more than two coats.

“Crimson Cue” is a pretty coral pink with slight tones of red to it. I love the colors. This can be worn by light to medium skin tones. It lasts 4 plus hours on me and does not bleed at all. I love the color and texture and the whole matte finish. Beauties with dry lips, swatch and try first.

Pros of Lakme Primer + Matte Lipstick Crimson Cue:
- Beautiful coral pink shade that would suit everyone.
- Smooth and pigmented.
- Creamy but settles to a matte finish.
- Never bleeds.
- Lasts more than 4 hours.
- Beautiful packaging.
Cons of Lakme Primer + Matte Lipstick Crimson Cue:
- Might feel dry on chapped lips.
- Might not be flattering for very deep skin tones.
- Not much crimson happening in this lipstick.
Yes for sure, Lakme has so many options of lipsticks to choose from, starting for Rs.295 uptil 900 I guess. Try this range if you love mattes.
